We don’t talk in a Thick Desi Accents.
Neither do I, but unless you talk in a thick French or Colombian accent, that’s nothing to brag about.
We are more confident in approaching girls and are not shy around them
That has less to do with culture or nationality and more to do with individual personality; I’ve met quite a few farangi and ABCD who are also “shy” and not terribly “confident in approaching girls”.
but also know the limits and are not influenced by the misogynistic culture to treat women.
Sadly, misogyny isn’t limited to any one culture. :-/
We don’t smell like curry all the time
Neither do I; thanks for pointing it out, though.
and we eat healthy foods and not the oily foods that most desi foods are cooked in.
Again: congratulations, but I’m not sure what your culinary preferences have to do with the discussion.
We are metrosexuals and know how to take care of ourselves and are not influenced by the stereotypes that make is for girls, etc.
That’s not something most dudes (Desi or otherwise) would brag about, let alone admit.
We work out all the time to be healthy and fit and not because some Bollywood star is doing it.
Most bulimics binge and purge because they have an eating disorder, “not because some Bollywood” starlet is doing it, so it’s safe to say that most folks who “work out” do it primarily “to be healthy and fit and not because some Bollywood star is doing it”.
We watch Hollywood movies which is much more in tune with global pop culture than the copy cat Bollywood.
Admitting that you watch mainstream “Hollywood movies” just lost you the right to rag on anyone else’s cinematic preferences.
And if you wish to be “much more in tune with global pop culture” I suggest you break out the J-Doramas and start listening to Rain: by sheer demographics, “global pop culture” skews Asian.
We know how to dress well and don’t let our moms dress us like most desis.
That just means you’re older than 6.
As for dressing like “most desis”, I’m not even sure what that means.
Need I go on?
No, but please do.
I don’t take sides in this thread, but I’m loving the back-and-forth discussion.
