some airlines [European, like British Airways] charge extra for advance seat selection…some allow online seat assignment 24 hours before departure.

bulk head seats are sold at a premium…this is how the airlines make money. unfair though!

KKF you had mentioned something about frequent flyer program. So is there a way we can enroll in the program at airlines’ website and put in the recent past trips to get some points?
