which writers do u prefer??

I can't live without books. and I read almost every writer, its always interesting to go deep in others' views through their words. :)

btw, khanu bhai, I miss those books here, send me some pleash. :-\

ofcourse, Kama Sutra by Vatsyayana is a must for any adolescent becoming adult - but please do NOT read the translation from Sanskrit to English by Richard Burton in the 1800's- he mistranslated many things. Try the one by Wendy Deg...somebody from Chicago Univ done in 1980's.

Ishtiaq Ahmed jo jasoosi novels likhta hai? or are we talking about Ashfaq Ahmed?

used to read a lot before :) abb to time nahien milta.. just in holidayz sometimes..

i lovee sydney sheldon! i can read his books all day n night..
robert ludlum, ofcourse everyone's heard of john grisham :)
have read bapsi sidhwa n many more.

infact i was searching for some pakistani authors ( english) so if u have any recomendations m i'd really appreciate it. :)

my favorite writers would have to be: Edgar Alan Poe; Agatha Christie; Ayn Rand; Shakespeare (obviously); Charles Dickens seems pretty boring to me; i forget the name but he wrote recent novels like : 'killing mr. griffen' and 'i know what you did last summer'.

Roshnie, Tanhayyan, Falcon: It's been such a long time that i stopped reading him-almost 7 years now. Primary reason why i stopped reading him was scarcity of money coz the prices of his novels grew exponentially at that time.

But i am glad i did stop. Finally :~) Yes, hez the one who wrote (and may be still writes) those jasoosi novels..Mehmood, Farooq, Farzana walay.

  1. Naseem Hijaazi
  2. Ibn-e-Insha
  3. Mushtaq Ahmad Yousufi
  4. Shafiq-ur-Rahman
  5. Mustansar Hussain Tararr
  6. Ata-ul-Haq Qasimi
  7. Karnal Muhammad Khan
  8. Ahmad Shah Patras Bukhari
  9. Meerza Adeeb
  10. A. Hameed
  11. Sadat Hasan Manto
  12. Krishin Chander
  13. Ishtiaq Ahmad

and many more:)

Ms moona, no wonder. You choice in writers unmistakably shows your outlook on life, and in your personality in posts.

jee thanx Roman, what a lovely thing to say...i'm so touched!

:biggthumb

Hahahahah Roman…that is too funny. Jackie collins hahahahahahahah…now that’s intellectual stimulation…:hehe:

Chaltahai: Don't post any remarks in this forum, which are reminiscent of despicable and abhorrence mentality. If your motive is to throw a flame bait or mock others, then I am afraid you are doing harm to yourself by losing friends- something an intelligent being would try to avoid. Whatever your motive is, I really don’t give a diddlysquat, but this kind of behavior won’t be allowed in this forum.

Outlaw: Drop me a PM rather than posting inanity in the thread. If your issue is with my posting with a particular thread than delete the post. If it is with a forum than inquire further. Your post reeks of insecurity and stupidity. Mod or not, if you have an issue, give valid examples otherwise piss off and wallow in your mediocrity. Seems to me you are in need of some culture. And that doesn't begin in a madrassa.

Try giving an example of what prompted you to say that rather than just simply showcasing your idiocy over and over again. (you can edit this if you like. ;) )

thanks in advance,

And do use a spellcheck, you nin!!!
