I dont dispute it. Salim was great player of Spin and probably only one Pakistani who played Warne convincingly. Too bas he didnot get many chances to play againts Warne. But Sachin whacked Warne many time. That was point I was making. Watch whole 1996 and 2001 India vs AUS series. You will be convinced.

Gavaskar scored his many tons mostly before the WI assembled the pace quartet. Run his ave from 1978/9 onwards against them.

It falls massively. Great great player, but there is much padding.
