I don’t know how old your hardware is. But RH-ES3 picked up each and everything on my 5 year old PC and I didn’t have to do anything after installation was complete. I was amazed to see that it even picked up my NOKIA 21 monitor with exact model number which Windows XP have been failing to indentify. Same goes with USB, firewire card and even webcam.
^ hmm .. you are talking about ES3 .... I think its different, in the sense that has more driver support? I tried making a Maxtor OneTouch 300GB with Firewire and USB2 to work on FC2 (DELL) but it didn't ... this was in May Aug last year .... never tried it after that .. maybe the supports become better ...
Palm 5. I have a love and hate relationship with this. It's fast and stable comapred to pocket pc but fook all gets released for it and crapest driver support ever.
abey kya kernel -2.6.2 use kar rahe ho abhi takk - last I checked, the latest kernel release is pretty robust in detecting winmodems - and you always have the option of using linmodem or ltmodem drivers.
