China is too authoritarian to be a model, there is almost no freedom of expression.
The USA is too capitalist, there is too uneven a distribution of wealth.
Pakistan should aspire to be like Sweden. A free society, with very even wealth distribution. It's virtually impossible to be rich in Sweden (the state takes away your money) and virtually impossible to live in poverty (the state gives you money).

And one of the interesting things in Sweden/Norway is that people still want to work.
In US there is this fear that somehow if you become more of a Welfare State, people will become lazy and not work. Republicans go on and on about how poor people are like that because they choose to be lazy, which is actually not true. There is cultural problem which limits their options but that's a separate discussion. But these Scandinavian countries have great work ethics, their schools are one of the top in the world and the culture promotes expression, uniqueness and creativity which also helps their economy. Not only Pakistan, but everyone should learn from them. Though, this doesn't mean I like high taxes and forced distribution of wealth.

Yes I think a successful model for pakistan can only work if it is made IN pakistan.
But we need to look at china which was just like us in the 1970s. Even india is now jelous of china.
SO we need to cooperate and learn how they did the miracle called modern china.
Chinese economy has been growing 9% for 2 decades and will continue this rate for decades to come.

Why is it that we insist that who ever made any advances in any field followed the Islamic principles. One of teachers in grade 6 used to preach the aeroplanes were invented by muslims. Well help yourself if it makes you happy I would say.
