You know how in old days, old people’s birthdays are wrong on their ID cards in Pakistan (exceptions exist) and that’s because they just have an approximate date? Similar story here. What happened was that, and HHL told me this, when his family applied for the Visa to come to the US, the interviewer asked what his name was. He said Naveed but the interviewer thought it’s NADEEM, so that’s what he put on the application. When they got their visa, the name was misspelled. They had already waited for years, uncle said chal chadd puttar, koi gal nayi. We shouldn’t try to get it corrected because it’ll take a long time, let’s just go by NADEEM now.
So that’s why he tells everyone his official name “nadeem” when his REAL BIRTH name is naveed ![]()
