Re: “Which games are you playing these days” thread
My niece wants to be one too. The other day she asked me to get her that thing I play games on (referring to the XBox 360). So I told her that I don’t mind, but if I were to get it for her, then her parents and her khala would all get mad at me.
Otherwise, she really likes to watch me play. Every now and then she asks me to but lately I’m telling her that we’re not going to play anything in Ramadan.

Awww. How old is she? I think she should start with a Nintendo Wii, no? That's good. After Ramadan then.

She turned 3 a month ago. Though I haven't tried it, it seems to me that the motion controls might be a bit complicated for her. She likes the XBox 360 because that's what she sees me play. She enjoys watching Tales of Vesperia. I'd say the best things to start her out with would be simple but fun stuff like Geometry Wars or something old school like Sonic, which also has relatively simple control. The best thing would be if I could develop something for her. She really enjoys playing with this small buggy prototype game I developed on the PC using XNA.

Get her the nintendo DS… my daughter started with the DS at 3 years of age, she’s moving up to PS3 now slowly… I got Little Big Planet for her, its a little complicated for her to jump and walk at the same time (she’s 4.5 right now) and she needs me to guide her, but she’s getting the hang of it slowly. She has mastered the DS though and loves playing games on that, doesn’t even need my help anymore
Re: “Which games are you playing these days” thread
The issue isn’t so much what console to get her but more that her parents wouldn’t want me to. The best thing is that I actually develop something myself. The game she likes the most right now is this buggy prototype that I haven’t got around to fixing yet. That, and she likes the XBox 360 controller the best too.
