Atlantic City, NJ
We play cricket, both tape, and hard ball, almost everyday. We got our own team "atlantic XI". hope to enter our team into league next year.
Kassel, Germany here ..... playing in league-system with Hardball but everynow and then with tapeball ..... Some Unis with students from Aus, Eng, Ind, Pak, WI + the Pakis and Indians brought the game back to germany and there is a proper league-system with it's final in september every year ..... Hardball on astro-turf ..... bowlers dream and batsman's nightmare .....
bahrain, and there's lots of cricket here for one who wishes to have fun with leather and willow....
tape tennis for younger ones....
and hard ball for those who got the gutts to face it on concrete picthes (we aint got any green patches in this desert so concrete picthes rule)....
You dont need guts to face hard to ball on concrete pitches. The ball barley bounces over the waist height unless you bang it really hard right by your foot while you are bowling.
I have played some cricket on cement pitches mostly in Karachi as we had plenty of grounds in Lahore, and the I think tape ball is the way to go. Just an F.Y.I kids are not the only ones who play with tape ball. To a certain extent tape ball is the reason we have had so many fast bowlers over the years. As tape ball is lighter so bowlers hand movement is a lot faster and by the time they start playing with hard ball they have already developed their motion and speed. Secondly as a batsman you need a lot more concentration to play tape ball compare to hard ball as tape swings a whole lot more then hard ball. Specially if you dont have enough tape to keep it nice and even from both sides, its horrible facing a wicked fast ball that comes fast in the air with the sound of 'shrrrrrrr'
I keep forgetting, now that you mentioned LahoriMunda... remind me.
Do you need to keep "shiny" part in the direction you want ball to swing or the other way ?

My expertise is slow/leg-cutters :p ... rarely medium/fast. I used to bowl medium/fast but then switched to spin .... so worry not bro :)
NICE.
So no one from My Area huh?
