Lots of good suggestions, but frankly, November is a cold month in USA no matter how you look at it. Even if you get to a place with rides and water you won't be able to really enjoy them coz it will be cold. If you like walking on beaches with a jacket, look at foggy morning marine layer and go on rides all bundled up then it may be ok... If you are thinking California it may very well be raining then too tough, so be very careful...How about central or south America? It will be the start of Summer/end of Spring in South America during November, and it will definetely be cheaper.

Quite right. The only places guaranteed to be very warm, and fun for water sports that I know of for sure, are Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands.
