with increased availibility of credit, banks are increasingly lending to the housing sector, which has led to a huge price increases in lahore and various other cities. It has almost doubled the prices of some houses, hence new schemes are being built leading to a housing boom. remmember roads need to be built, windows, cable, etx..there are so many other industries which benefit. And along side the housing sector, there is also the auto sector. The policies of consumer finance credit have led to this demand.

What he has explained only makes sense to those living outside of Pakistan. When you live here on a limited income, only then you realize the gravity of the situation. After tomato prices soared high, the president was snubbed, and in response he cleverly replied by saying 'they shouldnt eat tomatoes if their prices are soaring'. The present regime is not fixing the mess of their predecessors, they are busy making their own messes.
What exactly has Musharraf changed in "Policies" that could make us "wait" for couple of years? The only change I see is whip this party, whoop that a$$, grab a Taliban n present it to US and get some bucks?
I knew all that "ehtasaab" was only a trailor (ad), there'd be no movie... and there isn't. I don't have much expectations from him, so far all the "chiefs" (n PMs) have disappointed me.

Exactly, ehtesaab is only for the politicians who have not sweared their loyalty to Musharraf, not for lotas like Chaudhry Shujaat, who happens to be the personal favourite of the president.
