oh nice! yes we did enter thru SanDiego…it was a Day Trip. i would suggest u use credit cards there [but only at leading stores] coz u get much better exchange rates and gives you protection and extended warranty, especially on big ticketed items. it all adds up. 
and do NOT carry large amounts of cash. be careful, it’s NOT a very safe town. leather garments are cheaper. food is excellent. bon voyage!
