I want my body to be torn apart and use all the organs for waiting-list patients.. rest can be burn ... as the old African proverb... "One is born, one dies ..the land increases...."

I can't give you any reference, but I remember hearing that we are encouraged to bury our dead ASAP.

next to my mom, or grandma, or dad! preferably buried within 24 hours, don't want to be stored in any way that may hurt me. Shudder this question, reminds me of last night me and my friends went out for a walk yesterday right before maghrib and we're talking about osama's sea burial and tsk tsk we were having a discussion on death too. Fell asleep fearing death!

that much I know. but I am not aware if it is a must or it's just something that is encouraged. Im sure there are situations in which a person cannot be buried ASAP so just curious about the religious ruling on it...

ASAP means As Soon As Possible, so ASAP applies to each and every situation :D

yeah, it is common courtesy to wait till the person is dead first..

If you have a valid reason to hold the body for a few days you can do so, I don't think it is gunah, is it? If I died while on holidays to Spain, I'd expect my body to be flown back to my family even if it takes days.
But it is best to bury the dead within 24 hours. My mother never got to see nana abu's dead body even though she was on a flight within a few hours of his death. His body was decaying too fast, they buried him within a day.

next to my mom's grave..but itz not possible coz there is no space left around her grave..
so the next option wud be anywhere but not in pak coz i have seen the bad conditions of graveyards here...

Doesn't really matter to me.
Religious aspects, from what I know:
- Like mentioned before, the deceased should be buried asap. The reason behind that, is that the soul is still kind of attached to the body and it releases the body as soon as it is buried. If the burial is delayed, the soul is in pain.
- Another thing I've heard, don't know what's true about it: Allah SWT has created us from sand from all kind of places. We should be buried in the same country/ city where we die, because that's where the sand came from and is now back in it's place.
I have no reference at the moment, will try to look it up inshaAllah. If someone can correct me where I'm wrong, please do so!

Respect for the dead does matter. If the burial site happens to be a place where they dump all the rubbish then it is not permissible to bury the body there. It is also preferred that the graveyard is for muslims only, so I heard when I was in Pakistan. They had separate graveyards for muslims and christians.
