IMHO, one does not actually have to be in power to be judged. For example, Romney has not been President yet - but his constant lying makes it easy to conclude he is a puppet of the establishment - that is - corporations. AP’s post made sense to me - not necesssrily wrt to Imran Khan - but in general. I get what he was saying.
