Like someone already mentioned get a Kindle or any other ebook reader. Download all the books you want for free off torrents.
Or you could visit Lahore and go to Readings in Gulberg, great place for books. And there's Variety Books in Liberty. If by chick lit you mean lame ass stuff like Judith McNaught, Danielle Steele etc. then those books are in abundant supply here (my sister reads that stuff). Never been to Peshawar so can't help you there.

Nadz, I heard Saeed book bank closed down? Another option is Shaheen Books, but I have to admit, your choices are pretty limited there.
I used to go to the British Council Library in Saddar when I was a kid. Maybe that's still around. It's worth asking because they had a huge collection.
Other than that, try bookstores in Saddar. You can also go to Darul-kitab somewhere near university town and order books I think.
