Depends on the situation.....if it is a very serious issue and he is wrong...ill fight back, but if it is not worth fighting abt or I am wrong, I'd rather shut up!!!
I believe blowing up just makes things worse so I try to stay calm and so does he. Eventually it all gets better with some silent treatments :-)
wait for the spouse to yell as much as possible and the cool down, till then probably shutup and walk off.
And once everything is cool catch them off guard and BLOW UP :D
I would agree with all of the above... especially the last one!
Let the spouse let off steam, keep quiet, then STAY quiet. This will give spouse time to reflect on his behaviour which will not seem unreasonable to him compared with your calm demeanour... then wait for the apology ;)
... Unless of course u really have something to shout about, then stand your ground and fight your corner!
