Pingu, Before work out you need carbs(banana/potato/rice..etc) Carbs work as fuel of for your body during work out. If you are hungry you get tired faster. In long run it effects your progress.
You need proteins after your work out.. (eggs..fish..meat etc) they help build muscle Or improve quality of your muscle.
Now If you are hungry take a small meal(1-2 bananas.. a slice of bread or some thing ) then go to work out. For this much food you don't have to wait for it to digest...unless you are doing something extremely intense..
And if you have a full meal I would say wait till 3 hrs before working out... then again if work out is less intense like cycling/skating ..you can do it right away.
Thanks P.Monk and A.Eyes! Useful info! :)
