When do you move your child out of your room?

Re: When do you move your child out of your room?

A couple of months (or was it weeks?) and my daughter had her own room. When she was three years old she started asking for someone to stay with her while she falls asleep, so we did that for a year or so where I would read a book while she went to bed. I think by four she was 'I am a big girl now and don't get scared' mode. These days (she is 6) she comes back from school so tired that when we put her to bed around 7ish ... she falls asleep in two minutes.

I think it really doesn't matter when you separate them. Every child is different, so are parents. I am the youngest of the us 5 siblings. I slept in my parents room until I was 7 ~ 8 years old. Not out of their or my choice but because the other rooms were taken by my other brothers and sisters.
