2005, came with Bell's 3 year contract (it was some $0 LG phone...nothing fancy)

My first phone was in year 2000…it was a siemens..can’t remember the model 
but it was good…looked like a toy

but it was on silent most of the time…I only bought it coz my friends complained that they could not find me when they wanted even now…I dnt want one…only have it coz a few ppl need to get hold of me

Last Quarter of 1996, a gift from dad.
The phone was Motorola Startac and the cell phone company was Mobilink.
Startac was revolutionary, It was my first and last love. Keep trying Apple.

I think my first experience was my dads phone and it was a nokia and it had SNAKE. But i got my first phone when i was in year 8 so like 2003/2004 and it was a nokia, I still remember the day when I took it to for the first time school. Ahh memories. :D

I got my own cell phone when I started grad school, in Fall 2002. My brother had one maybe a year earlier and Abbu had had one for work for a few years.

When I started my A-levels, 2003 I think, cuz I had to live in a hostel for few months. It was a motorola, the one big enough to be mistaken for a cordless.

^ well mine was… first cell phone in our family too. And I was so embarrassed, sitting in the school cafe, I dipped my head into my bag to attend my mom’s call

I bought my first cell phone when I moved to US (Los Angles) in 1998 and If I remember it correctly it was Nokia 5146. It was not a fancy phone but was key resource to remain in touch with family in Pakistan.
I do remember the plan that I got from AT&T. Plan was named "One Rate Plan" ( $60/150min/anywhere in USA). No free nights or weekends or incoming.... :(

1999 for me, when pay as you go took off in the UK, before that everyone had pagers which were so lame. It was a vodaphone, I think the make was Sagem or something like that.
