Re: What’s worse
No.
Hell no.
NO WAY IN HELL!
When the praise is followed by, “omg your spouse is so great, cz they put up with you”…er not so much.
Lol, some say that there’s a thin line between love and hate. That the two emotions are 2 sides of the same coin. It’s hard to say and it depends on the person that harbors either emotion. Someone with a crush on your spouse can either keep their feelings within limit or they could choose to act on them in a way that can potentially harm your marriage. This situation also depends upon your spouse and how committed he/she is to the marriage and how they respond to the flattering attention.
In the case of hatred, it’s the same thing. Some people can keep their negative emotions in check and others get carried away with them and can become vindictive, for example. It may affect the marriage if the hater spreads rumors or tries to turn you and your spouse against one another, etc. People can stoop pretty low if their hatred is not kept under control. I think the former situation seems more sensitive and risky. Again it depends on how the various parties handle themselves.
Hmm thats true. My husband just rolls his eyes when I tell him what my friends say about him.
Some of my friends and relatives praise him and it doesn’t bother me, but there are a few who do, and its not so much in that “I want your hsuband” way but rather “you are such a such and such person, hes a saint for dealing with u.”
Lol Sara I should have known you were gonna open a thread like this.
It depends on who is praising & who is hating. If its the sort of praising I mentioned in my thread then worse would be liking or praising.
& as Magic 8 ball mentioned it depends on how much they are praising & liking & to what extent it goes.
Thanks for being a good sport
