I was 8 years old when I went into a old vintage store with my parents. A striking mantle-piece clock really grabbed my attention. When they weren’t looking I stuffed it down my dress and held onto it for dear life. Just then my parents finished looking around and said let’s go. I ran for the world. Bought it out from my dress at home and needless to say, my parents weren’t impressed. Nevertheless the store was many miles away so we just kept it. To this day we still have that clock and becomes a private joke between my family and myself when people who come around who see it, and ask where it’s from.
