joRii-daar is basically for people of the same age...ham-'umr logoN ke liye bolaa jaataa hai. :)

saathii = companion...yeh biwii/miyaaN ke liye maKhsoos nahiiN hai...do laRke aapas meN saathii ho sakte haiN...do musaafir safar ke saathii ho sakte haiN. hai na?

Hindi meN joRaa kahte haiN by the way which is equivalent of zauj

joRaa = zauj

vo gaanaa thaa na:**

do hansoN kaa joRaa bichhaR gayo re
gajab bhayo raamaa, julam bhayo re!**
