I wonder though. How effective is Danish going to be against the Indians, given they are very good player of the spin and that they already have Anil Kumble who bowls from about the same height and the same sort of deliveries? It'll be interesting.
Is Danish going to get some hot tips from Kumble, like Pathan did from Akram.
I would never put razzaq in the test squad.. He is clueless against spin bowling.. Bring in a specialist batsman.. either asim kamal or some other young gun...
also give a chance to rao Ifthakar in the next game
The pitches for the test matches will be a lot sportier. Akmal may well become a liability in those circumstances. With the bat and behind the stumps.

moin is doin well, there is no reason to change that equation
I’m not sure why Misbah isn’t getting many chances. I have a feeling he’ll be on the sidelines again this series. Whatever little I’ve seen of him has been excellent.
Good to see Asim Kamal in the squad :k:
Also, why is Umar Gul in the squad? He should have been played in the one days, but he’s hardly a test bowler.
I would include Saqlain instead of Danish. Indians toy with likes of McGill and Warne on these pitches. I m afraid same will happen to danish, i'd love to be proved wrong though. Saqlain was the cheif destroyer in last test series with india and he has a lot to prove so i will put him in the first test.
Saqlain has been out of form for over a year now and therefore I think Danish will stand a better chance. I also think from the above squad we are a bowler short, so do we drop Asim and play razzaq instead? I would dearly like Asim to play, the guy performed well against SA and needs more exposure to continue his development.
Thank God Younis has been discarded. I'd play the same team as ehsan as Kamal is a good player of spin and I'm not sure how well razzaq plays it. And his bowling is a waste of time.

I was thinking the exact thing. But eventually I suspect razzaq will get the nod over Kamal because of his experience and the fact that he can bowl...a bit. I would like to see Asim play though. Solid and fluid. Inzi/Javed have been so unjustified for excluding him. I am actually sad that he hasn't gotten the chances he deserves. If Youhana fails again, then perhaps Asim will get in.
Asim deserves to be in the side no doubt. He should play ahead of Razzaq but knowing our selection policy we'll probably go for bits 'n bobs approach again.
I would play Kaneria ahead of Saqi who was out-bowled by the Bengalis in his last test outing. I don't think the Indians will have too much trouble with Kaneria either but he CAN get them to turn a long way and gets some bounce too. If a leggie can do that he's always got a chance of picking up wickets.

Kaneria is my choice too. He was very impressive against the Goras (Kiwis/Saffies). I remember, he impressed dean Jones quite a lot.
I hope Inzi doesnt over-utilise him and turn him into another Saqi/Mushi.
No Razzaq, please. I hope Inzi's learned his lesson now. Razzaq's bowling is not threatening or even restrictive in ODI matches. In tests, his bowling will be absolutely useless. Playing a specialist bat is a much better option in my opinion.
