And since you do not believe in God/Allah why do you want your kids to learn about something which does not exist ?
It means you are yourself confused about existence of God/Allah

Doubtful not confused. Besides, I don’t wish to be the kind of parent who tries to live her life through her children. Just because I don’t believe in God doesn’t mean I should keep my children away from exploring the idea. If they feel it in their heart, I have no problem with them embracing religion. It would be really moronic of me to try to shield them from the world that’s still mostly religious.

Just too much hassle.. or for the sake of the children.. or in love.. or maybe they think their partner will revert bk to Islam again..

Re: What would you do if your partner was an Atheist?

I know someone like that. The dude is the one who seems to have left Islam. The wife's SIL even said to her that "Bhabhi your nikah is no longer valid" (hint hint; you're willfully committing zina)... the wife just got offended.

Re: What would you do if your partner was an Atheist?

Wasn't there a female Sahabah whose husband left Islam? I'm pretty sure she then left him.

Although I'd like to marry a practicing Muslim, I wouldn't condemn them if as some point they went through a time when they were struggling as in with praying, having a connection with Allah etc cuz heck I've been there myself.

But if they left Islam completely, then yeh, I'd leave them.
