as u said u did a wrong thing in finding stuff out.. THAT actually backfires :-)
sometimes, snooping around, regardless HOW close the person is to u, doesnt come out very good :-)

Try to direct her into another position. Try to do something nice for her or try to make her laugh without her knowing ur trying to make her laugh. Try to fix her mood and then see whats wrong. Maybe afterwards she will tell you when she knows that you care enough to make her change her mood. Make sense???

You shouldn't worry about it unless your friend tries to take his own life. That's my way of handling things. It's really not a big deal. Let him alone, he will be fine after a day or two. It not, ask them if you can help.
