those who live in Barca say Madrid is nothing compared to Barcelona.
I found Madrid to be very boring compared to Barcelona, it was a very sedate, museum-centric leg of our Spanish vacation (pit stop on the way to Grenada/Cordoba...Barca is soooo cosmopolitan and beautiful!! The people are so laid back and nice, you've got the beach right there, and are a short distance away from the mountains as well....I absolutely cannot wait to go back...I would love to be able to retire their some day, inshallah!
