Fighting against Syria and Iran will not be the same as fighting Iraq, or Afghanistan...where loyalties can be bought.
The Iranian and the Syrians are proud and nationalist nations and will put up a good fight.
The only way that Iran can support Syria is via more support to Hizbullah and Missile strikes against Israel. If syria is defeated then the Zionist will turn their attention to Iran....The Iranians would go for a pre-emptive strike if Syria was attacked.
But as I wrote earlier.....the Syrians cannot win a conventional war and would be best to fight an unconventional war. Israel cannot win an unconventional war. The U.S has strategically lost the war in Iraq, perhaps this attack on Lebanon is an act of desperation or weakness. The best defence is offence...that may be the rational of the Isrealis, however it will not be in their interest to prolong it as the longer it lasts the more Israels advantage will be neutralised.

Syrian military is quite powerful and has more troops, tanks, artillery and fighter planes compared to Israel. Syria is militarily superior in quantity but Israel is superior in quality. Syrian missiles can do much more devastating damages than what happened in Haifa and whole of Israel would become vulnerable. In 1967 war, Israel could snatch only a very small part of Syria (Golan Heights) but in 1973 war, Israel inflicted more damage to Egypt and Syria but was defeated and some of the occupied lands were reclaimed. If it would have been possible for Israel to attack Syria then it wouldn't have waited even for a moment.
Syria is too powerful to attack. It's like a war between Tiger (Israel) and Cheetah (Syria). If Israel attacks Syria then it will win the war but would bleed profusely.

Offcourse! situation in Syria would be like Lebanon coz Israeliz are very aggressive and I dont think so western countries will support Syria coz Syria has become popular for terrorist activities. :halo:

I wish they attack syria and every neibouring country. atleast syria will have some sort of reply to air attacks, failed to see a single air attack from Lebannon and Iraq didnt replied back well before going down.
this will get Iran into conflict and hence allow them to test Shehad Missles they have been working on.
they have attacked lebannon cause they are not scared of any micky mouse rocket attacks in reply from hizbullah. they only scared from suicide bombers and street fight. whcih they dont need to worry about.
this war logic breed desparity, hence more suicide bombing (which they trying to avoid) i dont know why Bush and Israel failed to unsderstand this. but I think they want more so called terrorist acts so they can have excuse to attack more in middle east.
the cowards Arabs are just watching the show. Persian will not.
