1) Get bloodwork done to determine if you have anemia (iron deficiency), hormonal imbalance, or thyroid problem which could be contributing toward your hair fall.
2) Even a border-line deficiency in iron will not show up in a blood test. So, to combat this problem, make sure to take a multivitamin which contains iron.
3) DRINK plenty of water. Beauticians recommend that water is essential not only for skin, but for hair as well. It makes your hair more elastic, flushes out toxins, and is good to maintain overall health.
4) Lay off the styling products for a while. Hair sprays and gels and are not free from chemicals and they leave build-up in your hair. Avoid blow-drying hair all the time. The heat can lead to split-ends. Dry your hair naturally and don't comb your hair when it is wet.
5) Don't wear tight pony-tails too often. And change the part in your hair. Frequent parting of your hair in the same direction causes it to thin from that area due to traction. So......part your hair in the middle sometimes.....then do a side part.....mix it up.
6) Make sure the basics are in place (sufficent sleep, healthy diet, reduce stress levels). Keep in mind, that you got married not too long ago. Weddings and the adjustment period which follows is stressful. Your hair shedding could possibly be a response to stress.
7) Some oils have antibacterial and antifungal properties which help to keep the scalp healthy such as olive oil and coconut oil. Oils are usually rich in vitamin E which nourishes the hair. So......you warm up some olive oil or coconut oil and massage it to your scalp and apply it from the roots to the ends of your hair. Let it sit for an hour......and then wash off gently with a good shampoo.
8) Consult a doctor if the problem persists.
