What side of head should jhoomar be worn?

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

I have seen less and less brides wearing Nathni's, are they still in fashion??? or does it just depands on the bride?

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

i think its a 50/50 situation... i personally think a bride looks like one with the whole deal.. jhoomar and nathni.. espeically on barat..

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

i agree...i love jhmoors

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

Both on left yeah Khawateen?

I wore a jhoomar but not a nathni, for some reason i associate them with villages and pretty much hate them so i decided not to wear one on my wedding.

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

both on the left side.

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

left side

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

sorry to say but iave heard that prostitues wear nose thing on right,,,yes

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

I thought it'd be better if you wore the nath on the left and jhoomar on the right?!?!?!?! Wouldn't it balance your face that way?!?

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

lol hahaha :D You president.. that was a funny theory :D

no both are worn on the same side.. i have seen brides sharing the face and wearing one on one side and one on the other.... i think its done both on the same side cuz its good when doing profile pics... or maybe its just how its done..
but yes.. both on the left side

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

I think it's on the left side...
And the dulha is suppose to sit on the left side of the dulhan aswell so its like shez all dressed up for him...funny may b but heard this sumwhere.

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

both on the left side looks nice

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

Nath gives a certain "look" to a bride, like more traditional (shy and sharmeeli) whereas no-nath gives a contemporary/modern look... depends on what u like.

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

Thanks laydeez xx

You mean she should sit on the 'right' side of him because she's wearing all the things on her left side..?

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

erm yup... but its a personal choice again i think, nothin like u HAVE TO.....
but i've heard this sumwhere, dun remember...

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

^ Makes sense though :)
I'm taking your advice :p!

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

hey gr8, even i've planned that way too....... hehe

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

Both items go on the left side to give a more "full" look.

Re: Wedding Jhoomer & Nathni

nath is just traditional and no must have. i personally also love naths...but it depends if it suits u ore not.

they are just a symbol coming from the hindus.. it stands vor virginity...but muslims do this just for "fashion"....i think it completes the desi look :)
