Islam is not a religion. You seem to be biased and unaware of the difference between worship and ordinance. Why dont you figure that difference before conclusion?
And a serious question now: Who are you? I mean, what is your opinion about yourself?
Re: what religio would you choose if....
Because it's flawless and proves that there is someone who is perfect, unlike us.
Literally faith cannot be reasoned but if you want one regarding Islam then that is the perfection.

I bet no Christian would ever say the same thing about his/her religion.
Re: what religio would you choose if....
They actually could say it with more conviction since they believe in their saviour as sinless and perfect his whole life.

Re: what religio would you choose if....
I dont know of anyone named Sikander Zulqarnain.
18:86 Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: "O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness."
Is this what you were looking for? Quite obvious when you read it, Zulqarnain found (his perception) the sun setting in a spring of murky water. It doesnt say the sun sets in murky water.
And your obviously thinking of something when ur questioning the suns place in the universe, please elaborate, and I'll be happy to explain.

Re: what religio would you choose if…
A similar question was asked by a Christian preacher to a friend of mine that “What if u were chinese, which religion u’d choose?”. Two years back when i was in Univ., i encountered such questions, rather some more tough questions (also called pet questions against Islam). I decided to forget my background and make myself neutral and then read Quran – (Need here to mention that i have been pretty tough criticizer to ‘myself’ in everyday life). I was analyzing, does it seem to be a word from God or a man-made book. Also, i picked up those challenging questions and started my research on them one-by-one. End result, it increased my imaan and made me more satisfied in what i believe (Islam). If you want to learn more on such questions, i strongly recommend Dr Zakir Naik’s responses (in FAQs on Islam) here:
http://www.irf.net/irf/faqonislam/index.htm
Most of the people who have problem with Islam is due to that stereotype image of violance/jihad/etc. stuck to Islam. They should learn about Islam unbiasedly and ask God for the truth with sincere heart; Inshallah they will find the truth. There is another group of people (even some muslims) feeling uncomfortable with Islam, because Islam has strict rules for them that prohibits fulfilling the (illegal/prohibited) desires of their ‘nafs’. For example, you would see people asking questions like ‘what’s wrong in wearing sleeveless or this or that’.
A person from Jehova’s Witness group told my friend that ‘Drinking (alcohol) is allowed in their belief untill one does not get unconcious’. Well, if you would know the human nature, that principle won’t work for everybody and not always. Islam prohibits it totally and has clear principles like black-&-white. Principles should be the ones that should be implementable with everyone and everywhere, which makes a religion ‘religion for all’. As truly said by a brother reverted from Judaism to Islam that “The thing he likes about Islam is that this religion is for all, not just for a board-of-governors or an special group or people”. You can listen to his video interview here:

Re: what religio would you choose if....
When I take a look at the followers of all the religion; the way they behave, interact with other communities, the holier than thou attitude, me best and killem all. If given a choice to start all over again I would be turning towards none at all.
Re: what religio would you choose if....
Here is one incidence for all you skeptics to think about. a true miracle that no other human can come close to doing, that is recorded in recent history, not 1400 years ago but it happened in 1920's or so:
The Governor of Medina Muawwara was told in his dream by our Holy Prophet Mohammed PBUH, that there were two Priests digused as muslims digging under the grave intending to rob the body of Rasul Allah PBUH, in the dream the Governor was shown their faces, people were lined up and the two culprits were caught, in their place of residence was found the tunnel they had dug.
*If that is not a Miracle I don't know what is? *
Re: what religio would you choose if....
Just to authenticate that it's just not a story could you please give a reference of a website or the book in which you read. Thanx.
