Upbringing has a lot to do with it IMO. If you are surrounded by people who are rude or indifferent, then it will take a part in shaping you that way. It can come from family or close friends etc. I think the internet is now the bastion of rudeness and hate. Just go to any comment section anywhere and you will see. If parents show lots of love and caring to their children, at least they will have a fighting chance to not succumb to their base desires.

A recent national survey called rudeness a “national crisis,” with 70 percent of respondents blaming technology for the spike in disrespect.

Reason, face to face meeting filters many rudeness gesture, while writing is different and what we think translate into words…
