Well SR&ED is related to Tax (and involves activity based costing) even though I am not a certified accountant. Not pure "finance" though obviously.

For the first 20 years of my life, I was an aspiring doctor.
I messed up a semester. I became very sad. Then I realized I could be a good teacher.
I wrote two certification exams, but graduated in the midst of a hiring freeze.
So I didn't become a teacher. I really would have loved being either a doctor or a teacher.
Now I am 25 and unemployed. I don't really suggest joining this profession :|
