What about the barriers around CM and PM house in Model Town, why has the police not removed them or are people happy with those barriers and not happy with Qadri's barrier. Any other country and the CM would have resigned, not in Pakistan.

I live in model town too, right across H block I.e. nawaz sharifs and hamza’s residences. We are not happy with all the barriers and diversions all around us and have to take new routes because of security blocka every other week..this has been happening since years now. Doea anyone care about removing those baarriers too? Ya woh inn pigs kay baap ki sarak hai?

Why not fault is with Lahore High court who gave permission for barrier around TUQ residence (as his life was in danger from Kharnees) and then PM (SS) who and police took part in erecting the barrier around TUQ residence?
people living in Model town, did nt want barrierz, Lahore hight court should have Listend to People. One Person who lives in Canda ,suddenly comes and creats Problem for the Neighbours... Is it acceptable. People who live in lahore, know that an operation is goin on against Najaiz tajavazat since 2012. That is why i said Both Parties were on wrong. U can nt give a clean Checque to either of the sides

Difference between benevolent rule of Musharraf and Chaudharies of Gujrat … compared to ruthless and criminal rule of Nawaz and Shahbaz:
Benevolent rule of Musharraf: Lal-Masjid terrorists occupied land illegally all around the masjid (Zia gave them around 200 Square yards land for Mosque but over time terrorist Mullah brothers occupied several thousand square yards of public and private lands around the mosque illegally), With over 5000 students learning terrorism and their terrorist masters, these terrorists started harassing people living around the mosque sending brigades to burn shops and kidnap civilians they did not liked to give their own rough justice, and have literally started a state within Islamabad. Then they started protest against government, moved their Ninja brigade to illegally occupy government library and other buildings. Started showing arms in public and threatening state with suicides bombing, killed couple of policemen too.
Even facing such situation Musharraf government left them for several months (more than 6 months), with warnings to bring themselves within law, trying to negotiate them to surrender, in spite of their created anarchy in Capital, open challenge to government with arms, threat of suicide bombing, havoc around the building they were occupying, and daily drama on TV.
Later, when under the pressure of world and local media, and also making a joke of authority in capital, at last government acted then also humanly, surrounding the building and asking them to surrender (that lasted many days) … eventually getting the building mostly evacuated and only few Pakistani and mostly foreign terrorists were left in the building … in the process Pakistan army lost their high ranking office due to direct shooting from the building … and when action started to clear the den containing only hard-core terrorists … with result that around 94 people got killed, including around 80 terrorists, civilians, police and army men. Even though thousands of women were there in the building, no women got killed (according to court enquiry that was held by Supreme Court under Iftikhar Chaudhary … that is present for all to see).
Criminal and ruthless rule of Nawaz: A known peaceful organisation, that never threatened anyone with arms, has record of holding peaceful protest (that is right of all Pakistanis, especially in political system) … recent example is just before election, occupying their own building peacefully (no grabbing of anyone’s land), not threatening anyone or residents living across, no den of terrorists, people who continuously talk against terrorism and violence, condemn suicide and other kind of terrorist activities, …
And without any provocation, terrorist and criminal Nawaz, just to punish a party for personal reason, sent armed police force with PMLN party goons (gundas), to attack the building and created havoc … killing peaceful residents, killing children, old and young men, several women and even pregnant women … shooting them at point blank range … and that was just to make Criminal Nawaz and his criminal Brother Shahbaz happy.
Now … for no reason, we are seeing criminal and murder charges against Musharraf for clearing Lal-Masjid from terrorists who were creating havoc in capital and openly challenging the state with their hostile and aggressive speeches, show of illegal arms, kidnaping and killing civilians and armed forces, and threat of suicide bombing … when Musharraf only crime is to tolerate terrorists of lal-masjid live for so long. …
Then what about criminal and murder charges on Thug Nawaz, his equally thug brother Shahbaz, his family god Rana Sanaullah and whole of PMLN criminal team who are responsible of killing innocent people, including children and pregnant woman, just to satisfy themselves and their personal grudges?
We just have to wait and see … power do not last too long ... and time is the biggest judge that would give most appropriate justice to such criminals at right time. I think (and hope), we will see a day when both brothers and their criminal team would be dragged out of their houses, would get executed, and would get hanged from the lamp-posts of Lahore just like Najib-ullah and his Brother was dragged from the car, got executed and then hanged in Kabul.

The timing of this incident seems just bizarre, right under the nose of the NWA operation. It's shameful so many innocents people got killed in the aftermath. Both sides are to blame for this mess. How cowardly for the CM not to own up to this and it could have been handled in a much more responsible manner.

TUQ and his party were not a state threats like other examples of such kind of previous operation - surely Punjab government is responsible for this tragedy (to some extent TUQ and his party people - they would have calmed down to avoid this unnecessary bloodshed)!

I blame the government as they have the sole responsibility to protect all its citizens regardless of their political affiliation. However I do believe that TUQ is a destabilizing factor who has proven time and time again he works for external elements and wishes to destabilize the democratic structures being established in Pakistan.
I saw pictures in The Dawn as another indication he does not have Pakistan's interests at heart. In the US and the EU when someone dies they cover then in the national flag if any flag is used. TUQ used his political flag to show that his people are above and beyond being Pakistani and are his people.
Yes the response by the government was wrong, but TUQ is a traitor and instigator who wishes to destroy the democratic processes being established in Pakistan.

I totally blame government. Zardari was cunning nawaz is brain less parchi master. TUQ did same last year ling march from lahore to isb. And then they gave dharns in isb for 4 days. Government of tht time ppp made delegation including chaudry shujat they negiogate n he returned. If noon leage stop panicking and shutting mouth of khawaja saad n rana sana ullah it will be good for them
