Why analyse and waste time on what were but the pagan castes of your forefathers before they accepted Islam? And if after centuries of coming into the Muslim brotherhood you pride yourselves with the so called particularities and attributes of those pagan castes that your forefathers had thrown behind their back (to aquire the universal identity of Muslims), it appears today that in these centuries that have passed, you have not become Momins at all! And Imaan is yet to enter in your hearts!
*[Al Quran Ul Majeed.Suratul Hujuraat.Al Aayah 13.] *
*"Qul lam tuminu wa laakin qulu aslamnaa wa lammaa yadkhulil imaanu fi qulubikum!" * "Tell these (uncivilised lots) you have not yet become momins so call yourselves only muslims (because you have made peace with Allah and His prophet) and imaan is yet to enter in your hearts!"
Now that piece of reprimand had come in the Quran, around 1400 years back from Allah Jall Jalaaluhu, when uncivilised tribesmen of Arabiya had rushed into Medina and had shouted out the name of Muhhammd PBUH, in the midnight hours, behind the palm thatched hutments in one of which the Prophet of Allah, Nabi Muhammad PBUH lay sleeping on the earth. His sleep was disturbed and as he had come out to see them, they had bragged to him "You know Muhammad! We all have now become like you! We have acquired Imaan! And you be happy about it, and Allah and you may thank us for it!" Those were the uncouthed words from tribes that had seen their safety in joining Muslims in the Aam al Wafood. They had not voluntarily come to the Prophet PBUH after his personal visits of tableegh to them earlier to acquire Islam.
Today however not a single Arab (in his land),as witnessed by me in Iraq and Saudia, talks about his tribal attributes. His forebears had accepted Islam centuries ago and his only identity is Muslim. He may still be Saudi, Urduni, Beddou, Sumali, Sudani, Misri, Shami or Philistini by his domicile, but he is nothing but a Muslim. He has long shed his tribal names and attributes of Quraishi, Makhzumi, Bikri, Saadi, Taa'i and Mustaliqi. His unity with Ummah is stronger because of that.
It pains my heart indeed that people of Pakistan in general have time to open threads in this forum of GS to talk on their bygone pagan attributes and take great pride in them! Hadaakumullaha Fi Siraatim Mustaqeem!
yeah not only is this mentality against religion its also an appalling and discriminatory violation of human rights and dignity
having said that caste system still exists and is practised in every corner and country of the world its just called Class System instead of Caste...but the difference is that people from the lower classes have one in a million shot of bettering themselves and skipping and hopping from one Class to the next, unliek the rigid barriers between castes in that system..though whether they will be accepted in the next class up and not mocked and ridiculed as vulgar or nouve riche trash by elite cliques is another matter..
Caste system is most worst thing i hate in India, even after 60 yrs of independence it is still been encourage because of vote bank politics
i never bothered to think about my caste untill i entered my engineering
with lot of struggle i got into a govt enginnering college though i got good % in my +2,
one of my friend got - 3 marks in the entrance exam he is able to get seat very easily because he belong to low caste and he has reservation and though both of his parents are govt employees and he is rich to pay all the expenses but still he enjoys reservation
i have another friend belongs to forward caste who got better % then me and always frist in class stuggle to pay his fees as both of his parents are daily labours
now the dirty politicians put reservations in high profiled professional institutions like IIT and IIM,
when there are reservations based on caste the caste descrimination continues
i wondered when peple say they converted to christianity just for the sake of reservations:bummer:
dun give a **** about caste thingi…and the fact a lot of my fallow pakistani give so much importance to which caste they belongs makes me to hate pakistanis :halo: …is jahalat sai khuda hum sab ko doer rakhai.ameen…being a paki and muslim is more then enouff for me to have an identity. …
Hussain I agree with you. So many people ask you these questions, as if this is something to be proud of. A Fob recently asked me the same question, I said I’m Muslim. Yeah but what is your Zaat? I said, I don’t care, neither did my parents teach me this. She was so oooooooooooo Surprized… hein?? tumhein apni zaat ka nahin pata?
baji i do know so many pakistani boys and girls who wanted to marry but their parents didn,t let them marry cuz their zaats were not the same and u know the sad part is either they end up running away or end up marrying non-muslims…agar izzat ki itni hi fikar hai to un ko bhaagnai ka mouqa hi na do and let them marry with ur blessing…i mean there can,t be more humiliating thing for a muslim parent then to see his/her son/daughter running away with non-muslim. …and to tell u truth i hate and stay away from ppl who take so much pride in there caste that they forget their duties as muslims. …its not nice but i can,t stand ppl who don,t feel attached to fallow muslims black/ white or feel that they r superiore then them…we r thaught at home that we r muslim and pakistani nothing more and nothing less …
You are absolutely right. I din't know so much about the caste system in Pakistan, what I have learnt here. People want to know if the family is not only "Jutt" but the subcaste of Jutt. That is so Ridiculous!! Like wud they have an extra nose or two more hidden ears?? if they were able to find the exact caste. My cousin runs a marriage bureau and I come to hear of so many such stories everyday, they are Disgusting!
Jee Whiz, why is everyone getting so defensive? I believe it is just a simple post asking about your caste..ie. origins..that's it...don't read too much into it and assume...you know what they say when u assume...it makes an A$$ out of you and ME!
