Maybe we believe it doesnt exist because we haven’t partners…that’s my personal opinion I believe I can’ t find true love…
but as I have sense of self sacrifice, duty and respect, if I marry one day
(I wish i would because I think family is the most important thing in life) I will love him, and our children, truly…that’s for sure! It would be my duty to keep the family united…

dont think of giving love as a duty.let it come frm the heart.

heart is a fool, it gives love to bad ones, and refuses it to good one, heart has no logic, if you listen too much to it you end up stranded in hell…as a friend told me once, "arranged marriages last longer than love marriages because they are based on morality and family values which are everlasting whereas love fades with time:(

True love? A psycological condition resembling obsessiveness.

I'd prefer a deep, eternal and intimate friendship rather than the fawning kind of behavior of people "in love" - especially those who "fall" in love.

That’s not love, that’s infatuation… obssessiveness, jealousy, lust etc etc are all infatuation, not love..

True love’, if you choose to believe in it, is unconditional love which shouldn’t really be confused with parental-offspring type because that isn’t pushed to the limits or faces difficult dilemmas and the intimacy as in a non-biological relationship. But when you compare it to Love between ‘couples’, no matter how much you love the other half, there eventually has to be give and take. Its conditional - it must be given and recieved. Unconditional love is our love for God and cannot exist between couples me thinks. You can unselfishly give and care for the other person with their happiness and wellbeing before yours but eventually you will fall out of love if not reciprocated. Thats why this unconditional ‘true love’ we speak of can only last for so long.

I disagree Lazy,
There is love true one as well… only thing is we expect too much from our beloved, and if due to any reason he/she scarifies her /his love over the family values or willing of parents or any reason… we do start put on label that person with any name, and start thinking same as true love does not exists…
True love should not have any expectations…plus true love is not the name of living together…

Heer Ranjha, Sohni Mahewal, Shereen Farhaad, etc… gave only gave sacrifices without expecting anything from each other, and never lived together :-)

You should know this is not nonsense… but truth is we do not want to accept it due to our personal experiences…

you only get one life ...i reckon they shouldve gone and got married to someone else and considered their first girlfriend as just a pleasent chapter in their life

chances are that if tehy had got married it wouldve been and end to the fairytale anyway!

Don’t be so harsh on them… they were innocent love birds, they gave their lives but did not betrayed their beloved marrying to another person they do not love…

Love does not mean to live together… this is one wireless connection to which you can feel beloved while sitting thousand miles away…

I believe in love and I do accept that true love still exists, but you only need to feel it…

Laizy, I was just like you once, and never trusted on the existence of love… but now I am changed and you don’t need agree with me, but I am sure one day you will agree with me…
