I dont see girls in Pakistan gyrating in this manner and in these clothes in the streets, hotels or even in the few 'nightspots' we have!!!.

are you sure? 'cuz if I recall correctly last year when I went to Lahore and Karachi I saw gals in swimining costumes in Avarai hotel swiming pool and the site was open for all. But yes, girls aren't dressed in this lewd manner on the streets.
But still, I don't see anything wrong with the picture you posted. I believe we have to take skin showing a step further. Ya, know so at least our cinema can compete with our fashion industry when comes to "daring" stuff.
** Come on, Mehnaz…get with the program. You know she HAS to be white by society’s standards. Anything less than porcelain white, means that she is not “pretty”.
hahhaha! gosh, my sides are aching. Maybe if i ever visit Toronto, then we can go on a bleaching session together. Afterall unless we get that porcelain-white look that Amina Haq has, we won’t be considered true Pakistanis.
Last time I checked, Karachi is apart of Pakistan. Now, people who don’t think I’m “Pakistani” enough and am unpatriotic .. well, that’s another issue.

does skin really matter that much to you ppl? and btw looks are not the only thing one must have to be a pakistani. there are lots of other important things like culture, traditions, values etc that one must harnest to be a pakistani. :~)

Kisi to Akal hai is thread main..I agree with your veiws Gohan.
i heard lollywood worked with low budgets, but i dint know k ab ye nobat aa gayi hay ke heroine k kapron k lyay bhee paisay naheen haen..pakistan mein waisay to kapra kaafi munasib daamon mein dastyaab hae, itni bhee koi shortage naheen hui...
waisay kapron pe jo paisay bachayay ja rahay haen wo agar sets aur lighting and sound equipments, aur director, script writer, choreographer aur actors waghera kee fees mein laga dyay jayein to lollywood bhee shayad taraqqi ker hi lay...
waisay, i seriously dont think that making the girls wear such clothes is gona make the movies any more popular among pakistanis in general...except maybe among a certain crowd...

i don't think they are saving as much oto do all that you have listed in ur post. lollywood is on its own for everything. ppl who spent money are the real string-pullers. ppl who work in these movies are just puppets. they too want to live and have a mean to earn. they are already coming from a condemned part of society and they cannot take any more risks so they do what they are told you do.
i'm sure with proper financial help and some recognition from government, lollywood can produce good quality movies. they also need help and participation from educated ppl. so far all the educated ones have blend in instead of creating new and better trends. :~)
p.s. commenting on the particular movie under discussion, i am surprised the MMA hasn’t done something about it like doesn’t it exercise its power on the censor boards? aik taraf to larkion kee tasveerein jin street advertisement boards pe theen wo boards utaray ja rahay thay to phir dosri taraf is tarhaan kee movies cinemas mein kis tarhan dikhai ja sakti haen
thats weird,
