comparing to this, I'd say Lollywood is headed in a much better direction.
woah, I realize the motive for posting these pictures...and I understand that you want to criticize the Pakistani film industry for its lack of taste...but there is a line I have to draw. These pictures cannot be posted up - PCG

go watch sum indian movies.
besuray behuda logo indian movies mai besharmi nahi nazar ati paksitani dfilm mai jab thori si besharmi daikho to phat jati hai. the only reason dresses like these are used in pakistani movies is becuz of u ppl who watch indian movies becuz u are shamelessand want movies like that so paksitani films have to compete to keep shameless ppl like u in the cinemas.
^ it’s the thing is that people are really very hypocrites when it comes to lollywood. Lollywood will come under fire for just about anything. I don’t see any obscenity in the pic posted by confittiguy, which he’s using to question film maker’s education, literacy and our morality.
Now if you really want to see obscenity and vulgarity then go toEntertainment World and take a look at the photo shoots of drama actress Iman Ali and Amina Haq. But of course no one will ever raise morality issues or question our elite fashion industry and the models.
oh my God. That’s not the same Amina Haq who starred as the younger sister in the drama, Chandni raateiN, was she? Please tell me it’s not the same person. i have so much respect for that drama and i would love to keep it that way.
Sadzzz, It’s this one. Scroll a little bit down then click on ‘Aminah Haq’.
Sacchi sai - i didn’t know it had reached this state. Not sure if i am more surprised at my own stupidity for not knowing, or at the fact that this happens with Pakistani cinema. Either way it’s pretty sad. Mujhe tau pictures dekhti hai sharam a rahi thi - as though i’m looking at some porn site, not a website of Pakistani actors and actresses.
They have so much God-given skill when it comes to acting. Achay bhalay dramas mai acting kar rahay haiN - why don't they stick to that? Stick to producing/starring in some creative, social dramas of high quality... like Chandni raateiN. i can't express how much i respected that drama. Doing stuff like this... it just tremendously lowered my opinion of A. Haq.
i dont have any respect left for them.... theres just no point.. fair enuff ur a model.. thats great.. but is it necessary to show everything to make it big?

i think you are right.
i kind of just remembered... we have threads in the Image Forum that glorify some of these Pakistani models. We have numerous Guppies drooling (literally or metaphorically) over those pictures. A bit hypocritical, me thinks. One or two of the Pakistani models are the exact same ones whose pictures are up in that website.
oh well... such are the times. i wonder how it will change in another twenty years... who knows, what we consider to be extremely radical for our generation, may even be considered relatively conservative by the time of our grandchildren's generation.

yeah and it seems the drooling guppies are somehow or another condemning them in some other thread :)
i think its wierd... i mean some people may think there is nothing wrong with the pics.. they may even accept it as pure beauty and art.. i think it has got to do with the way people grow up.. the society and the environment...

wht i've seen os far is this that if its not a pakistani model showing some skin , its acceptable. as soon as you see a paki model exposing herself, you start to condemn her. bringing in islam, hadiths, references from quran. this kind of hypocracy is unacceptable. either accept all as they are or condemn all if they are all alike. don't chose one and criticise others.
BTW, if a gal posted those types of pictures of guys, we all know how everyone would explode. But different rules for guys i guess. :o

Precisely. i know some people who would probably think the comments in this thread are extremely closed-minded. And that’s alright, everyone is entitled to their personal opinions. All i know is that, for myself, i really have very little respect left for A. Haq or other Pakistanis on that website (both male and female) - she seemed likeable in that respectable drama. Masha’Allah she has so much acting talent that she could have utilized in a much more productive manner, perhaps by starring in dramas that dealt with real life social issues… kind of like how Nandita Das does.
