What is the aim of circumcision of men in Islam?

Re: What is the aim of circumcision of men in Islam?

Thanks.

Now this question is more of philosophical one :stuck_out_tongue: I am asking just because I have been asked this question but do not have enough knowledge to answer properly.

We have been told that God says that He created man “in best form”, “in best image”, “best of all living things”, etc.

Now if foreskin is bad, why did God create it for ALL men? Some men are good, some are bad, some are saints and some are evil. That’s human nature and can be accepted that God created a balance. But a piece of skin that is supposedly bad for all humans?

Also, for a long time in Human history, men did not have tools to get rid of foreskin. Were they all doomed to bad health and diseases because of that?
