Sigh, let me tell you a story:
I am the son of a recently-deceased famous industrialist, demoralized by my mother’s public affair and subsequent departure, I got even more depressed after attending the marriage of the woman I loved to another man. Feeling ashamed to face the world, I walked out of the wedding, boarded a train at night, and was on the verge of committing suicide. While on board, I met someone, a lively and talkative young woman who was leaving to go to her hometown.
Initially, I found her very irritating, and every meeting became mental torture. She told me big plans of eloping with her boyfriend, as she feared resentment from her parents. She irritated me to the point where I left the train. In trying to get me back on the train, she ended up missing it and found herself stranded on a desolate station, with no luggage or money. She then confronted me and told me that I am now responsible for getting her safely to her house in Punjab. We began an idyllic journey through the exuberant heartland, making our way via buses, taxis and camel-carts to reach her house. Through spending so much time with her, I began to feel good about life again.
On arrival, her family mistook the two of us for lovers, but we quickly assured them that there is nothing of the sort. She told her family I am a musician to avoid being recognized as a famous industrialist, and her family accepted this. A few days later, an old childhood friend of hers who wanted to marry her, arrived as her suitor. While he was there, she lead him to believe that there is something intimate going on between us, and successfully dissuaded him from following through with the match. Later that night, we ran away from her home, so she could marry the guy she liked. However, her sister saw us running away together and informed the entire family. We made our escape, but this confirmed the suspicion in her family that we were lovers. We got to the city where the guy she wanted to marry lived, and then parted to continue on our separate ways.
Upon returning home with a new conviction and positive outlook on life because of her influence, I guided my company to extreme success. Around nine months later, I launched a new product, an app named after her, as I has now fallen in love with her. Her family saw this launch on TV and came to my city to meet me. I was shocked to learn that she had not returned home. I took it upon himself to find her and return her to her family. I returned to the city where I had left her, expecting her to be with her new husband. Instead, I found that he had turned her out to the streets and refused to marry her.
After chastising him for what he did to her, I left and finally tracked her down in a remote town, shocked to see what she had become: a quiet, reserved, and miserable schoolteacher. Convincing her to face her circumstances, I managed to bring her back to normal life, and things started to look up for her again. However, her ex arrived and tried to patch up their relationship, claiming he realized he was a jerk. Initially, she did not want to accept his apology, but I pushed her to be with him, even though I loved her too. All three of us then traveled back to unite her with her family, and to announce that she and her ex are together. However, upon our arrival, the family again assumed that she and I were together and in all the confusion, there was no chance to right the family’s misconceptions. While trying to clear the misconception, situations made her realize that she was in fact in love with me, not her ex. She then confessed her love to me, and then we got married.
