I agree, to fight an organized religion, which glorifies in destroying others we need to get organized and fight it back. This is precisely what tenth Guru "Guru Govind Singh" did. When all the peaceful means were exhausted Sikhs picked up the sword to fight the tyranny.
We will have to fight them back in Kashmir, at the same time making sure we don't mistreat anybody regardless of who it is.
We cannot allow anybody to take advantage of our toleration and take away our freedom of choice and enslave us.

My understanding is that Jazia is a form of taxation for non muslims in a muslim ruled place because they do not have to pay zakat. Muslims have to pay Zakat each year which is 2.5% of all their assets.
So a form of taxation was levied on both muslims and non muslims.
