I wanted my Taaya to do my nikkah so Ours was done separately. My taya first took my ijazat which I gave begrudgingly ;p and then my husband was asked by his molvi sahab to sign his life away which he did HAPPILY!!

the kalima my shia friends recite is indeed a bit longer although i am not sure if Hazrat Ali is verified as wali ullah.
