5 to 7 years of difference is ok in arrange setup. love marriage is different topic, because many of those birds study together and have one or two years of age difference.

We all know there is no magic number it is different for everyone. I personally wouldn’t mind upto 9ish years older.

I think there was a time when an age gap of 10 yrs didn't matter...but presently, I think 10 years is too much. 7 years should be the extreme.

Depends on individuals age too. 12 years difference (when girl is 17 and guy is 29) might not work but same 12 years difference (girl of 22 and guy of 34) might work
So its not always only the difference and there are other parameters too such as how mature they are at that point in time.

The only reason why I am not in favor of big gap is that then one person hits the limit of his/her life expectancy way before the partner. I dont want to live 20 years alone without my wife, I am sure she does not want that either. I am glad that we have only 4 years of age diff.

everyone is different. 4 was the limit for me. 2 for my sister.
