Muslims are tolerant but something like But-parasti(idol-worshipper) is prohibited across the wolrd. How can you claim close to god when you worship an animal or a tree or a lifeless statue?? Once one becomes a muslim, he/she is superior to other non-muslims.
For all you know, let me ask you a simple question. Do you consider yourself a true muslim. Then come back and claim superiority.
