some good tips :k:
if u have a hard time with jet lag, plan for it accordingly. if you’re arriving at ur destination early morning, sleep on the plane. dunno if it’s a good thing to do, but on those 22 hr flights, i pop a NyQuil or some sleep aid as soon as the first meal is served, sleep soundly, and arrive feeling refreshed at my destination. i also prefer flights with 4-5 hrs stopover as it gives me a chance to stretch my legs, freshen up, eat a proper meal at a restaurant in the airport.
one thing i really hate abt flights is that while landing, occassionally i get these excruciating headaches, i think it’s because of a sudden change in air pressure. my head feels like it’s gonna burst into a million pieces, my eyes swell… once i pressed my eyes with my fingers and i heard a “ping” sound as the air came out of the tear ducts in my eyes! has that ever happened to anyone? how do you deal with it?
My sister works for EMirates, she's cabin crew in first class and just thanks her lucky stars she's not serving in the economy especially on the flight from UK to Pakistan..she says some passanger are just plain badtameez and out of control...
has anyone ever taken stuff from hotels? If they didnt have his credit card info i wudnt hesitate in taking all the towels and shampoos as reminders/souveniers ..
in these last two weeks, i have been in five hotels, more than in my lifetime
Forget everything else I hate travelling from Manchester to Islamabad! Worst flight... too many mirpuries...
Few weeks ago I was travelling thru emirates and this old apni lady sitting next to me had five pound coins and she kept asking the cabin crew if they could give her a five pound note instead or ask the passengers ... then she made me carry all her hand luggage for the connecting flight at dubai.. amidst of all that I lost my phone. and finally she goes "toon meri sohni dhee ayee, hun karachi wee teray naal bay kay jawangii" Man you dont know how I wiped my tears....
On the way back to Manchester I had a herd of English lads travelling from Dubai.. They smelt and burped and talked and giggled like gurls all the way thru.. even worse...
what i am saying when a large group of desis gather in one area they act stupid
so if u can find an airline which is mostly white or some other race then its better
but if a bunch of desis gather around, they are singing a tabla, and doing a bangra and stuff, really dum..
I flew from Zurich to Toronto, and I had to take a flight which was going from New Delhi to Zurich to Toronto
And as you can imagine it was full of Sikhs and they made that flight into a living hell
the bathroom stank, the air hostess got so fed up of their attitude that they stop answering the bells, kids were crying, some of them started to sing and clap
Try traveling with an infant, that has no seperate baby seat or a regular seat, the baby sits/sleeps on your lap, forget about your own sleep and comfort and try eating with one hand while holding a sleeping baby with the other.
The other passengers with their 2 or more kids, kids with no manners and parents who dont tell their kids to behave.
You want to nurse your kid and those stupid uncles are not sitting on their seats on PIA but standing around in groups talking and looking at others!
I allways get sick on long flights too, my husband gets head aches :-((
what i hate is when you have alot of cash on ya and they stop you, and also when you know at the airport that you have done nothing wrong and you have nothing illegal in ur luggage but even still they nake you open up all your luggage especially in pk,
and another thing is that i hate it when ppl give rishwat to the ppl at the airport so they dont get stopped and the shareef and saadey log get stopped for no reason, i seen this case for my self that a paki before he even got off the plane, he put 50 pounds sterling in his passport and when he got off the guy checking the passports didnt say anything and let him through and then there was this baaba he got stopped for no reason and they told him to step aside and we need to ask you a few questions.
these are just a few things i hate which i personally experienced for myself.
have fun sidz!
fbi, i experienced the rishwat thing myself 4 yrs ago at mumbai airport... some guy in a white uniform came up to me and spoke in a low voice asking for rishwat and i shouted in the loudest voice i could muster, "what's that, you want me to give u a bribe so u can clear my luggage??" he was all alarmed and tried to make a quiet exit but i persisted... finally he was like, "Please Madam, you've misunderstood... i was offering to escort you outside with ur luggage"
so i made him push my trolley all the way to the exit :D
that was really fun... this time i didn't find any such bakra :(
^ actually you will find bakras and bakray ke dads sids, at lahore airport but they will be in uniform trying to force you to give them ur trollys and they in exchane be waiting to recieve some sterling and not rupee, so when you go from here take some rupees and if you cant then take the trolly yourself rather than wasting your sterlings on them, and not just one guy comes and good number of them crowd around ya coz they are all after the pounds :-) .
