The Lebanese authorities estimate that of 900,000 people displaced by the conflict, 200,000 left Lebanon – 100,000 of these for Syria. More than 6,500 homes were destroyed in Israeli attacks, mainly in the south of the country but also in the Bekaa Valley and in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
