Further more, I'd never, ever (InshaALLAH), go to a "PEER" or a "HAAJI" or "BABA POORI MURAAD WAALAY" , get on my knees, kiss their hands and touch their feet. I did that, when I had no knowledge (probably I was 13-14 then) and was just "following" the crowd.
When i talk about peer(pir), i talk about Aulia-Karam not the todays pir like "BABA POORI MURAAD WAALAY".

Getting on knees,kissing hands and kissing feet has references in hadith and done by sahaba to Hazrat Muhammad(SAW) and done by sahaba to elders. Since you dont want to get more information , i will not paste it here.
