Re: what habits did you need to giveup/change once u were married

I miss Philly cheesesteaks :hinna: … Pat wins Geno hands down :snooty:… though Jims on south street is definitely a close second… Geno is very low in my rankings…

Anyway, back to the topic at hand…

I changed in the sense that i became more spiritual… i was a muslim by birthright but i wasn’t really ‘mazbi’… my hubby helped me in the sense that her ‘re-taught’ me Islam.

Apart from that, i don’t see any other major changes… it’s when you have kids that everything really changes…

Re: what habits did you need to giveup/change once u were married

Whats that all about? There is now law to say that you have to abandon your own likes and follow only your hsubands.

Marriage is compromise, for BOTH husband and wife.

Re: what habits did you need to giveup/change once u were married

I gave up THINKING!!! My hubby likes to do it for me :frowning:

okay here’s a scenario - while I am driving - hubby in passenger seat (forcefully - cause I like to drive) :hehe: Every SECOND he would do the “thinking” for me - like another car right in front - he would be like - STOP - SLOW DOWN DON’T STEP ON THE BRAKES THAT HARD :frowning: or GO THIS WAY, NO GO IN THE OTHER LANE, WATCH OUT FOR THE POT HOLE, WATCH OUT DON’T JUST DON’T LET THAT OTHER CAR PASS BY!!! (this scares the cr*p outta me) :frowning: or if a truck is next to my car - he would be like just never stay next to the truck - WELL HELLO ??? If I got a chance then I WOULD go ahead right? - BUT he does the “thinkin” for me. If I drive in to NY City - THEN IT’S A DISASTER - cause he wants ME to OUT DO The CABBIES!!! HELLO!!! _ Cabbies have been on the road day and night! You want me to be a pro like 'em? ! SSSSSShhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

So ya “thinking” is something I gotta sacrifice in my marriage. Hubby wants to do it phor me:(

:hehe: lol that is exactly what I do with my younger brother. I can’t keep shut.

Re: what habits did you need to giveup/change once u were married

my dads like that, as is my fiance ( NOT with me but with his mum/sister so am assuming hel be like that with me)
havent you said to ur husband `hey i did PASS my driving test, so presumingly im SAFE to be on the road without a human satnav…its annoying i tell me dad ive passed my test, so relax…he just laughs and says whoever passed me must either have been drunk/drugged/dead…

Re: what habits did you need to giveup/change once u were married

LOL - nadz - my hubby says that too!!!

I never have to bring up this topic about PASSING my road test - because EVEN before I can say something - HE SAYS - "Janne kisne ye license tumhe de diya! Zoor uusse paiso ki zarurat hogi! jo tumhe pass kar diya! :frowning: :omg:

but the MOST funniest part is !!! I AM THE ONE WHO THOUGHT HIM BEING on the AMERICAN ROAD when he came to USA! (ye ye he already knew how to drive back home that’s a diff story)… BUT I am the one who went with him for HIS driving test AFTER ALL OF MY TEACHINGS - HE PASSED! :hehe:

and now he turns around and says that! how dare he! :frowning:

Re: what habits did you need to giveup/change once u were married

Lolllzzzz..

Re: what habits did you need to giveup/change once u were married

yeh my fiance says he can drive because thats what did in pakistan..now no offence to pakistanis here, but DO THEY KNOW WHAT A ROAD IS…theres pot holes in every corner, the road isnt even or even big enough for half your car let alone all of it, no one looks twice at a traffic light and if you manage to run someone over ( WHICH YOU WILL) ,you are told to not worry and keep going…as long as theres petrol in the tank and SOMEONE behind the wheel, you can do what you like.
my fiance doesnt like the rules and regualtions in the uk, and i keep reminding him thats its there SO THAT US MERE PEDESTRIANS ARE NOT KILLED…
