errmmm hot as in boiling hot??? and how long to put the pulp in it??? like umm over night? :S after draining it off am i going to drink the water with the gel/ apply it on skin OR am going to put the pulp on face?

my Ques as ALWAYS (lolx) is that i just cant seem to get rid of the red spots left due to acne ...... they are NOT bumps. just skin discolouration maybe but yes i got it cause of pimples... how can i get rid of it???? :(
i have tried lemons and cucumber and potato and tomato and turmeric and honey!! doing everything for a month! nothing seems to help though.........although my spots arent of the dark type!!

Hey, for those suffering in the sweltering heat of the English summer these days (how often can we say that about English summers?) and all of you who are in other warm climes, may I helpfully suggest that Rosewater in a spray bottle in the fridge (suggested by Gina and others) makes an EXCELLENT COOLING BODY SPRAY.
Yes, spritz it on liberally anywhere and everywhere, straight from the fridge. Its SOOOO refreshing and cooling.
I love it!
BTW - u can get small pump spray bottles (which is the perfect size for me) from superdrug, also a bit larger size too.

I think all the girls on gupshup are using rose water. My little sisters 12 and shes started too after seeing me do it… shes gona have amazing skin when shes my age, i wish i started then :hinna:

BTW Gina, your advice about using rosewater for the skin was superb! huggz :D It worked wonders on me, my face is much more smooth and it even looks lighter than usual.
I used the standard one which is also used for cooking, no spray bottle one.
All my friends got plans to try it now :P

I just bought the dabur brand from the local grocery store...it was $3 only! But i'm concerned if I should use it on my skin as it has additives...the list of ingredients is:
Rosa centifolia extract, propylene glycol, citric acid, potassium sorbate and water
These ingredients don't seem natural...advice ladies?!
Spray some on u're arm..and leave it till it absorbs. If u're skin looks fine within a couple of hours carry-on using it.
i tested it on my arm, and then on my forehead, it was fine. I went ahead with toning/misting my face and it gave me a bad breakout on cheeks…le sigh…i’m thinking of trying organic rose water but idk if i want to deal with another breakout…
p.s. I’ve tried the RW from Swad and Dabur, both with no luck. so i guess desi RW doesn’t suit me…I’ve also heard of the alternative rose hip oil for facial massage…does that do any good?

rosehip oil is supposed to be really good for skin rejuvenation. basically the same claims for scars, stretch marks etc that Bio Oil claims.
i use a rose water that is a by product of rose oil production (during distillation), there is nothing else... just pure rose water.

I bought it from this site.. turns out the store is just 15mins from my house anyway. It’s been recommend on a number of websites as having very good ‘natural’ products.
I’m keen to try some more.
I’m sure you can get it from many places, you just need to check where they say it comes from and if they add anything.

Rosehip oil is very high in vitamin C. You can add few drops in your regular moisturizer. Vitamin C keeps the skin young, firm, and, wrinkle free.
You can also add few drops in olive oil, and massage your face and neck, or whole body, once every week or so.
If you have sore throat, cold, etc ... just add a few drops in honey (pure, unpasteurized, wild flower honey)
Rose is a wonder flower.
