A common notion among pakistanis is that sense of ethnic and tribal identity is unislamic but Quran says that humans are created into male and female pair and into qaum and qabail for identity…why pakistanis insist on erasing ethnic identities?. Its racial superiority like nazi germans which islam doesnt allow, in islam a person is superior over another on the basis of morals and behaviour.

sense of ethnic and tribal identity is not unislamic, its sense of superior identity that is unislamic.

The problem that haunted Pakistani people is identity crisis and running behind some self assumed superior identities. ethnic bias get boom, when that ethnic entity is abused by other ethnic group. Abuse doesn’t only mean confiscation of rights, it hurts more when you pass negative remarks for an ethnicity.

If you don’t find anything amazing in an ethnic group, keep silence instead of passing negative remarks. But unfortunately, from the first day of Independence this simple rule was not followed even by leaders of high caliber.
