or may be the belt is kind of special design like a blouse which has lack of one shoulder (left), and the other shoulder has “wing”. When wearing she will tuck pallu through the left side. Is it reasonable?

HAH! i finally know the answer to the mystery of the pallu....the extra pallu comes attached to the belt LOL! cool. so u can wear this as a regular sari (basically just get a regular sari made) and just get a belt with a pallu attached. omg and to think of paying 380 for this!
i like the idea of brooches because handling pallus is so annoying but does anyone think they look like there's too much going on?

no actually i mean the blouse has 2 layers:
One layer as a normal blouse (sleeveless and thin) beneath
2nd layer as belt+one small "wing" just on the right shoulder, they r stitched to each other.
When wearing, the model tucks the "real pallu" through the "belt" and let it fall over left shoulder.

And the brooch is to keep the "so-called pallu" of the 2nd layer fixed to the 1st layer, on right shoulder :D

Personally I do not like the belt style for sarees. It does not look good.
It looks like you are wearing too much... and there is just no point in wearing the belt - it's not doing anything to your figure. Just looks tacky.

I LOVED Lucilla's outfits in Gladiator *and the outfits of the women in *Troy. I think they would translate to something like this -- really pretty mixed in with desi accents. Now I want one!
